TAASL conducts courtesy visits and stakeholder meetings with Embassies and High Commissions to strengthen diplomatic ties, improve visa and consular processes, and enhance bilateral tourism cooperation for the benefit of its members and the industry.
TAASL Meets Consul General Hugh Sriyal Dissanayake at the Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines in Sri Lanka
On 16 October 2025, TAASL met with Consul General Sriyal Dissanayake. The Embassy is to hold a product presentation for members, require visa forms to be downloaded from the official website, and allow emergency passport releases. Lawyers may use a different pen color for attestation, only bank-issued financial statements are accepted, and visa staff must maintain professional conduct. Members are encouraged to share additional feedback.
TAASL Meets Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha at High Commission of India
Office Bearers & Diplomatic Affairs Sub-Committee of the Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka (TAASL) met with His Excellency Santosh Jha, High Commissioner of India, and Mr. Sanjeev Aurora, Consular, to discuss enhancing cooperation in the travel and tourism sector. Organized by TAASL Sub-Committee Deputy Head Mr. Sabry Bahaudeen, the meeting focused on initiatives to strengthen bilateral tourism between Sri Lanka and India.
