Growing With the Industry

From its inception, TAASL has evolved alongside Sri Lanka’s outbound travel sector. Over the decades, the Association has witnessed and adapted to major global shifts — from changes in airline distribution and visa regimes to technological advancements and evolving consumer expectations.

Through each phase of transformation, TAASL has remained a steady and reliable presence, helping members navigate challenges while encouraging professionalism, resilience and long-term growth.

Leadership, Representation and Advocacy

For nearly half a century, TAASL has served as the collective voice of outbound travel agents in Sri Lanka. The Association represents its members in engagements with:

  • Government authorities and regulatory bodies
  • Airlines and international travel partners
  • Industry stakeholders and allied organisations

By maintaining open channels of dialogue and collaboration, TAASL works to ensure that the concerns of its members are heard, understood and addressed at a national level.

Protecting Standards and Building Trust

A core pillar of TAASL’s legacy is its commitment to ethical business practices and service excellence. The Association has consistently promoted high standards of quality, transparency and responsibility among its members.

By doing so, TAASL not only protects the interests of travel agents, but also plays a vital role in safeguarding travellers from unethical, fraudulent or unreliable practices. This commitment has helped build public confidence and trust in Sri Lanka’s outbound travel industry.
